Article summary

Integration Manager contains a list of all user-generated source identifiers in the Sources blade. The purpose of the source identifier is to succinctly describe data sources that are integrated into Ursa Studio. To that end, these identifiers are assigned to import objects and registered table objects, and are used as metadata downstream in the data model. As an example, data from Blue Cross Blue Shield of Montana might have BCBSMO as a source identifier. When data from this organization is imported into Ursa Studio, it is assigned BCBSMO as its source.

Usefully, users can see all ELT activity associated with a source by selecting it in the Sources blade. The ELT activity table displays the following fields:

  • ELT Date
  • Filename
  • Data Effective Date
  • Data Covered Start Date
  • Data Covered End Date
  • Elapsed Time
  • Row Count
  • Incremental Row Count
  • Error Count
  • Notes

To create a new source identifier, navigate to Integration Manager and select the window icon in the upper right corner of the screen. In the ID field enter the source identifier. Note source identifiers are required to be in upper case without spaces. Add a description of the source in the Description field if desired. Finally, select the save icon in the upper right corner of the screen to save the new source identifier.
