What's new?

  • Added a help drawer, which is activated via the help icon in the Ursa Studio topbar. From the help drawer, users can search the knowledge base for information, or follow context-sensitive links to recommended knowledge base pages.
  • Users can set the verbosity of ELT and report logs via the Global Variables screen on Metadata Manager. This global setting will apply to all ELT and report logs, no matter what the default log level is for the application as a whole. The available options are "verbose", "info", "warn", and "error".
  • Added a new screen "Application Analytics" within metadata manager with an "ELT Performance" report. which is to be used to determine which objects are taking a long time to load, versus their historical average.
  • Allow users in Redshift environments to override the default SORTKEY, DISTKEY, and DISTSTYLE of each object.

What improvements have we made to existing features?

  • Added Measure Label field to the Naming panel of measures, to improve the user experience for users consuming this information in Analytics Portal.
  • Added "Chart and Data Table" tile option when saving bar charts or dot charts to boards.
  • Added the ability to re-order sorts in case review.
  • Show relevant term-linked fields in the Available Fields panel of Measure Workshop and Object Workshop.
  • Updated term inheritance logic such that if a published field get renamed on a downstream object, its field-linked term will not be inherited onto that object.
  • Updated term inheritance logic such that if a published field get renamed on a downstream object such that it now matches a term, that field-linked term will be added onto that object.
  • Added new default setting for append imports to avoid importing the same file twice. Unless the new checkbox is unchecked, any import using a filename that has already been imported since the most recent overwriting import will error.
