Measure Description

Among individuals ≥18 years of age with ≥2 prescription claims on different dates of service for any RAS antagonist (RASA) during the measurement year, the percentage of individuals who met the Proportion of Days Covered (PDC) threshold of 80% for RASA medications.

Denominator Description

Individuals ≥18 years of age with ≥2 prescription claims on different dates of service for any RAS antagonist (RASA) during the measurement year.
The prescription claims can be for the same or different medications. Denominator excludes patients with: 1) Treatment Periods <91 days, 2) ESRD Claim within the measurement year, 3) Hospice care within the measurement year, 4) ≥1 fill for Sacubitril/Valsartan ESRD claim during the treatment period.

Numerator Description

Patients with at least 80% medication coverage of the treatment period in the prior 12 months.
