Semantic Mapping

Overview

The Semantic Mapping workflow covers the creation of Semantic Mapping objects needed to conform the source data to the semantic standards of the data model. The mapping itself relies on a deep familiarity with the source data, so the workflow additionally includes several tasks related to probing and understanding the source data.

Tasks

1. Determine what Semantic Mapping objects are needed
2. Identify the Natural objects impacted by each source data object
3. Determine the mappings for identifier fields
4. Determine the mappings for claims or billing transaction fields
5. Checkpoint to review the interpretation of source data
6. Create or extend Semantic Mapping Templates
7. Create and run Semantic Mapping objects
8. Validate the semantic mapping results
