Diagnostic Suites

Prev Next

Diagnostic suites are named collections of diagnostic definitions that group related definitions together for use in opportunity scans. A single definition can belong to any number of suites, and a suite can contain any number of definitions.

Managing Suites

Suites are managed from the Suites tab on the Diagnostics page, alongside the Definitions and Instances tabs.

The suite list shows each suite's name, description, and the number of diagnostics it contains. Click a suite to edit it.

Suite Fields

  • Name — A unique name for the suite (e.g., "Cost of Care Opportunity Analysis").
  • Description — Optional context about the suite's purpose.
  • Diagnostic Definitions — A checklist of all available definitions, grouped by domain, with a domain-level checkbox for selecting or deselecting a whole domain at once. Only definitions that have at least one session are shown.

A new suite is immediately available for use in opportunity scans.

Changing or Deleting a Suite

Neither affects scans that already exist, because a scan's plan is a snapshot taken at creation time. Changing which definitions belong to a suite shapes only future scans, and deleting a suite leaves existing scans and diagnostics untouched.

How Suites Connect to Opportunity Scans

A scan is created against a suite, and creates a diagnostic from every definition in it. The graphical view organizes those definitions by domain. Configuring suites is therefore how you control which definitions a scan covers.

Access Control

  • Authenticated users can view the suite list and suite details.
  • Compass Authors (and above) can create, edit, and delete suites.
