The guided tour is a visual progress tracker that organizes project templates into healthcare cost-of-care domains. It shows which investigations have been started, tracks progress across domains, and provides one-click project creation from templates. The guided tour is accessible from the sidebar under Open Chat.
Domains
The guided tour organizes templates into eight cost-of-care domains:
- Cost Overview — The anchor domain, representing the starting point for cost-of-care analysis.
- Patient-PCP Engagement
- End of Life
- Pharmacy
- Preventable Hospital Utilization
- Surgical Procedures
- Transitions of Care & Readmissions
- Fraud Waste & Abuse
Each domain is an expandable panel. Click a domain to reveal the templates it contains. Cost Overview serves as the central anchor — it provides the broad cost perspective that the other domains investigate in detail.
Progress Tracking
The guided tour tracks investigation progress at multiple levels:
- Per-domain — Each domain displays a progress indicator showing how many of its templates have been started (e.g., "2 / 5 started") along with a progress bar.
- Overall — The header shows aggregate progress across all domains.
- Constellation — A star visualization in the header grows as domains are activated. See The Constellation below.
Starting an Investigation
To begin a new investigation, expand a domain and click Start Project on an unstarted template. This creates a project from the template and navigates directly to it. Only Architects can start projects. Projects created from the guided tour default to Fully Visible so that the entire team can follow progress. (Projects created from other areas, such as the template detail page, default to Private.)
Accessing Existing Projects
The guided tour only displays projects and presentations that have non-private visibility. Private projects and presentations are excluded entirely. For visible projects that are not shared with you, the tour displays the project owner and indicates that you need to request access.
The Constellation
The guided tour header includes a constellation graphic — a star visualization with Cost Overview at the center and lines connecting to each active domain. As domains are activated by starting their first template, new stars and connections appear. The constellation represents the interconnected nature of cost-of-care investigations, with Cost Overview as the hub linking all areas of analysis.
Access Control
- Authenticated users can view the guided tour, see domain progress, and navigate to projects shared with them.
- Architects can start new projects from unstarted templates.
- Private projects and presentations are hidden from the guided tour entirely — only items with visibility set to Key Results Visible or Fully Visible appear.
