Denominator Description

Outpatient fills for a chronic medication falling within patient-periods during which the patient has (1) active plan membership, (2) is alive, and (3) has 1 or more active chronic medications. Fills are considered chronic by meeting at least one of the following: (1) Two or more fills over the history of the patient for this or other medications in the same AHFS Therapeutic Class ; (2) 90 or more days supply over the history of the patient for this or other medications in the same AHFS Therapeutic Class.

Numerator Description

Denominator qualifying outpatient fills where the filling provider is a mail order pharmacy.
