- As implemented in Nephrologists and Nephrology Group Providers, providers in Providers— which includes both individual and organizational providers — are included if they have a qualifying primary NUCC provider taxonomy code (see value set NEPHROLOGY SPECIALTY) or if the provider description includes the words “nephrology” or “nephrologist.”
- Records in Nephrologists and Nephrology Group Providers associated with individual nephrologists have the field Is Individual Provider = 1.
